Hello Readers!!

She writes about being almost done with her Goodreads Reading Challenge as well as writing about what books she would like to read before the year ends. Creatures of the Night Tag!!

Hello Readers!!!!

I was tagged by AnaLoves to do the Creatures of the Night Book Tag started by BookTuber Katytastic. For this tag, there is a list of creatures and you have to pick a book that includes a creature from that list.

So yes, I am ashamed to say (sorry for those fans of this series, I was originally a fun, but not anymore), the book that included vampires would be the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. This series is about a girl named Bella Swan who moves to the town of Forks, Washington, where she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen. Upon arriving to Forks, strange things start to happen and Bella finds out that Edward Cullen and his “family” are a group of vampires. At the time I really loved the series, but I guess I began to get tired of it. I was able to read through the first three books in the series, but I was only able to get through half of the last book because I felt that one of the scenes was just dragging on and on. I did watch Breaking Dawn pt. 2, and I figured out which scene in the book that lost my interest. So at the time, it was a great series, but most likely I won’t pick up this book again.

So of course I have to mention The Mortal Instruments series. In this series, Clary Fray is a girl who finds out she is a part of the world of the Shadowhunters, who are beings that protect the mundane (humans) from those things that “go bump in the night”. Clary fights alongside other Shadowhunters, as well as warlocks and werewolves, such as Jordan Kyle, Maia Roberts, and Luke Garroway (aka Lucian Graymark). I loved the relationship and story between Luke and Clary’s mother Jocelyn Fray (Fairchild).

I love love love any movie and tv show (Hellooo The Walking Dead!) about zombies. I read the book called The Zombie Survival Guide: A Complete Protection from The Living Dead by Max Brooks (son of comedian Mel Brooks). This was such an amazing story! If you have trouble finding a book about zombies, you HAVE to get this book. This book is divided into six different parts and includes fictional attacks throughout history. This is a full on survival guide for a would be zombie apocolypse. You are given information about what happens to someone if they are bitten, how its spread, and how to treat one that is infected. You are given information about the different types of zombies. In other chapters,  you are also given infomation on how to defend yourself against a zombie attack (both in weaponry and combat), as well as how to be safe and how to survive living in a world with the living dead. The other zombie book by Max Brooks was World War Z. This is VERY different from the movie with Brad Pitt, so definitely read the book! World War Z is a novel about varying accounts throughout history involving cases involving the zombie plague.

Well this is going to be a VERY short entry. I have yet to read (or maybe recall) any books that have a significant character that is a ghost. So if any of you have any suggestions for books with ghosts I would love to hear them!!!

I am pretty sure like everyone else, I am going to choose the Harry Potter series. Witches and Wizards are the main characters throughout this amazing series. I have been a fan of this series since it came out when I was in sixth grade. This series has been with me from elementary school to beyond high school. I think that if a series is able to stick with someone for that long, you know it is an amazing series. If you haven’t read this series, you really have to!!!

Booooo!!! This is another very short entry. I don’t think I have read any books that have fairies in it. I mean maybe I would include the Seelie Queen from The Mortal Instruments series, but she wasn’t a MAJOR character in the series. Again, if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!!!

For this category I will be picking the Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing. O-M-G! This was such a great series that I read back in high school. This series is about a group of high school girls who each have special powers given to them from the Goddess of the Moon to help them in their fight against an ancient demon. This series was completely addicting! I was able to become completely engrossed in these stories. I loved how each time one of the girls was about to fight evil they would dress like they were truly a goddess of the moon. I always thought that what they wore would make great costumes! Anyone who reads this series could easily relate to the characters.

For this category I am going to go with The Whispers of the Fallen series by JD Netto. This book involves fallen angels and demons and nonstop action. The characters in this story come across the diary of Lucifer and will do everything in their power to protect eachother. There are two books in this series so far, and I am sooo excited for the third book to come out!

I mean, OBVIOUSLY, I wonder what series I am going to pick. DUH!! It’s gotta be the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This is the story about Katy Swartz who moves to a small town next door to a broody and oh so gorgeous neighbor Daemon Black. Katy soon finds out that Daemon and his sister are actually aliens. This was such a swoon worthy read! I loved the relationship that Katy and Daemon had with one another. At first I was back and forth on whether to read this because I was afraid it was going to be similar to Twilight series. Boy was I wrong! Sidenote, the credit for me reading this series goes to Ana from Analoves for raving about this book. I was oh so glad to have read it! So that means you must read it too!!

Superpowered human

For this category, I would have to pick the Talented saga by Sophie Davis. Speaking of an addicting read! I loved the backstory with how the characters became who they were (how they ended up with certain powers-like light manipulation, mind reading, morphing). I loved the main character Talia Lyons AND Eric Kelly. I loved the way in which Sophie Davis described the characters eye color, it made a very unique way to remember the characters. There are 4 books in the series right now, plus a side story and a novella. There will be a 5th story, but we have to wait, sadly… Definitely check out this series!!!!

I had a lot of fun doing this tag!! Be sure to check out any of the books I put in this tag! Thank you Ana for tagging me!!! I am going to tag     Readwritelove28, Megan Duke, Shelly from fangirlsbookcase and Alluring Tales

I honestly don’t know!! 😦

4. Favorite book to movie adaptation?
5. One book you want to see on the big
The 5th Wave (so excited!!)
6. Favorite author?
Oh boy… It’s a tie between John Green and Cassandra Clare
7. On average how many books do you read in a month?
When I’m not working,, probably 3-4, when I am, 1-2.

Simon Lewis, Isaac (whispers of the fallen), Four (DUH), Augustus Waters
10. Favorite genre?
Dystopian, fantasy, and contemporary
11. If you can switch places with any character who would it be and why?
Cassie from the 5th wave. I say this because she fights for her family and takes care of herself and doesn’t seem to be a damsel in distress… I can’t stand when authors make the female characters sooo dependent on the male that they don’t know what to do with themselves.

My questions:
1. What book inspired you to create your blog?
2. What was your favorite book to movie adaptation? And what was your least favorite?
3. What book would you want to be adapted into a movie that hasn’t already been made?
